Winter Aconites are supplied as tubers (similar to bulbs) between September to end of October. Our Winter Aconite tubers are sourced from our native woodland. Price quoted per tuber. This product has a minimum quantity of 20 tubers. For orders over 2000 Winter Aconite please contact us as we can arrange bespoke quotations.
Please note that some bulbs when planted in Autumn may not always flower the next Spring but come up as green leaves. If they miss one year they will flower the following year.
The tubers/bulbs will be sent out as soon as they are ready. All our plants are native British wildflowers grown from wild seed in our sustainable nursery.

Description: Winter Aconite is a species of flowering plant in the buttercup family Ranunculaceae, native to calcareous woodland habitats. It is a tuberous-rooted herbaceous perennial growing to 15 cm with large, yellow, cup-shaped flowers held above a collar of 3 leaf-like bracts, appearing in late winter and early spring.

Management: They thrive in low or dappled shade and prefer free draining soils. They are often seen at the same time as snowdrops.
